+ - Can I evaluate Alertkey software for free?
Yes! All subscriptions to Alertkey start with a 14-day free evaluation.
+ - What if I decide Alertkey isn't right for my organisation?
Cancel your subscription any time during your evaluation period and you won't be charged a cent. If you need support during your evaluation period please contact us or open a ticket in the cloud management portal.
+ - Do I need to buy any special hardware to use Alertkey?
No. Alertkey Panic Alarm software is installed directly on your PCs and laptops, and communicates over your existing wired and wireless networks (LAN). No additional computer, network, or panic button hardware is required.
+ - How quickly are emergency alerts received with Alertkey?
Once a duress or panic alert is activated, software laboratory testing has indicated that the alert data can be received in less than 100 milliseconds. The alert data is then processed and the alert window is rendered and displayed. Performance will vary depending on the computer and network hardware and software configuration in use.
+ - How many licenses do I need to purchase?
You will require 1 license for each machine (desktop or laptop) where you will install Alertkey Panic Alarm. Each licensed machine is able to send emergency alerts on the Alertkey network, and receive/display alerts from other machines.
+ - Do I need to install Alertkey on every computer in my business?
You should install Alertkey on any machines from which you will need to send and receive alert messages. Generally, this will be any computer where a person is stationed or regularly works.
+ - What methods of payment are accepted for my Alertkey subscription?
All major credit cards are accepted.
+ - How are my credit card details handled during payment?
Your credit card details are sent directly to our payment provider, Stripe. Your credit card number is never stored on our servers. You can read more about our privacy policy here.
+ - Are my personal details secure while being sent to your web server?
We only serve our web site using SSL/TLS encryption technology. Any information you send to Clinilink Systems through our web site, contact or order forms, or through the cloud portal, are encrypted and secure.
+ - What level of support does Clinilink Systems provide for Alertkey software?
Basic support is included with all subscriptions which provides product
support via email on a demand-queued basis.
Premium Support is also available for purchase which provides priority
support managed via your cloud management portal, remote diagnostic intervention,
and configuration assistance as required.
+ - Does Clinilink Systems provide remote support for Alertkey software?
Yes! Remote Diagnostic support is included with Premium Support subscriptions. This allows Clinilink Systems to connect securely to your Alertkey devices via TeamViewer software to provide remote diagnostic support.
+ - What operating system does Alertkey require?
Alertkey works with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows. Supported operating systems include Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
+ - What version of the .NET framework does Alertkey require?
Alertkey requires the .NET framework version 4.0 or 4.5. If the minimum required version is not present on the target PC, the Alertkey installer will help you download and install it. This procedure is typically fully automated.
+ - How does Alertkey communicate between devices?
Alertkey sends network data between devices through your existing Local Area Network (LAN). Communications between a group of Alertkey devices is generally limited to a single LAN subnet. Communications to remote devices or networks over the Internet is not currently supported.
+ - Do I need to install Alertkey software on a Server?
No. Alertkey devices communicate directly with each other and do not require a server to relay network data.
+ - What information is sent to Clinilink Systems over the Internet?
Data from Alertkey-enabled devices is sent to Clinilink Systems servers to validate software subscription licenses, to provide and obtain configuration and performance information to/from the cloud management server, and to store event data if you have purchased licenses for the Audit Trail feature. All data is encrypted using TLS/SSL and sent via HTTPS securely to our servers.
+ - Does Alertkey work with Terminal Services / Remote Desktop Services?
No. An RDS-compatible version is currently under development and is scheduled for commercial evaluation late this year. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming an evaluation partner!
Installation and use of Alertkey software is subject to adherence to the End-User License Agreement. Before purchasing or installing this software, you must read and accept the terms of this agreement.
